The machine shop occupies an area of 930 square metres and is accessed via a large doorway 6 metres x 4.5 metres. It is serviced by two 10 tonne overhead travelling cranes, hence providing a maximum lift of 20 tonnes.

Although the work carried out is mainly of a genreal nature, the workshop is well equipped to handle long turning jobs, such as drive shafts and machine rolls which are one of the compan's main lines of buisness. We also provide excellent milling and boring facilities utilising large capacity machinery.

Again, quality is the main theme of the Metso workshops and the company prides itself on its high class workforce, most of whom have been with the company for many years. They are extremely versatile and provide a first class service for refurbishment work of many varieties. Machining capacity lists are available on request.
