Crownmaster - Advanced resurfacing Technology
Regrinding Yankee Cylinders utilising conventional Farros-Blatter type grinding machines produces a satisfactory surface; but at a cost! Their sheer size requires hours of disassembly and reassembly of the tissue machine, as much as 24 hours can be lost from your production time. Bender's newest innovation, Crownmaster, is a giant step forward in cutting costs and downtime while regrinding and reconditioning your Yankee Dryers. Bender's Crownmaster is about one fifth the size of conventional grinders. Crownmaster is flexible, it fits directly onto the suction press roll arms, saving your mill personnel hours of support time. Conservatively, we have seen a 25% reduction in sheet-to-sheet downtime. There is a huge weight difference between Crownmaster and conventional grinders for ease of installation and less risk of injury to personnel and damage to equipment. In addition, Crownmaster is quick to operate because its air-cooled system cools the grinder so effectively, there is no need to halt progress to stabilise operating temperatures.
