All the advantages of Stainless Steel and Molybdenum without the shortcomings

Until now, coatings have been imited to molybdenum and stainless steel classifications. Moly coatings typically deliver superior thermal conductivity with fair corrosion resistance, especially in high chlorine environments. Likewise, stainless steel coatings offer good corrosion resistance, but fall short of the thermal conductivity and wear resistance of moly.

Add Years between resurfacings

Compared to moly and stainless steel coatings, INFINIKOTE™ delivers higher hardnes levels for better wear resistance. As for thermal conductivity, moly requires an undercoating when dryers show porosity or low edges. This is not required with INFINIKOTE™, thereby eliminating heat transfer loss and the downtime associated with an undercoating application. Plus, our extensive laboratory and independent testing in corrosive environments produces no signs of deterioration.

Developed and tested over a two year period, INFINIKOTE™ lets you reduce regularly sheduled regrinds while maintaining high production levels in corrosive environments. It all adds up to improved profit performance while protecting your Yankee Dryer capital investment.

Thermal-Spray Surface Coating

Systems:
We are unique in our ability to combine all recognised Thermal-Spray Coating disciplines with unrivalled capacity for the surface finishing of large, heavy components. Encompassing the latest 'High Velocity Oxygen Fuel' spray systems, through 'Plasma-Arc' and 'Electric-Arc' (ArcJetTM), to traditional 'Powder' & 'Wire' Oxy-acetylene systems, we have a continuous program of Research and Development into Thermal-spray materials, application methods and coating function.

Materials:
Resultant coating developments are constantly reappraised for application suitability across industry; Ferrous & non-ferrous materials, ceramics, cermets, carbides and many 'Polymer' based materials can be applied to an endless array of industrial components.

Functionality:
To protect, repair or enhance performance. Potential applications for Thermal-spray Coatings are almost limitless, often governed only by the engineer's imagination and creativity. Inherent coating material qualities provide superior performance, efficiency and longevity, with many desirable individual or combined characteristics for resistance to;

  • The complex mechanisms of wear - erosion, abrasion, fatigue, fretting and cavitation etc.
  • Mechanical load
  • Extreme temperatures
  • Chemical attack
  • Oxidation
  • Corrosion

Coatings are commonly applied for dimensional reclamation, restoration of worn, damaged or mis-machined surfaces, and / or to impart other valuable surface qualities:

  • Lubricity
  • Low-friction / release (non-stick)
  • High-friction / traction (grip/drive)
  • Electrical / thermal conductivity or insulation

For the reclamation of damaged or worn components, as a cost effective solution to the replacement of expensive components, Thermal-spray coatings are accepted throughout industry. Moreover, the coating application often provides superior performance to the original material specification. Coatings are now routinely applied to new components - incorporated in their initial design - to impart desirable characteristics for operational performance and/or protection Ð and are particularly beneficial when applied to more economical base materials.
