Metso's Field Service Crew and equipment arrive at the mill prepared to
complete the job with a minimum of downtime. After establishing a work scope
between Metso and mill personnel, where each step of the procedure is
completely discussed, the job commences. Field service technicians begin work
around-the-clock until the job is completed.
Consistent with their philosophy of
continuing research and development, experimentation with coated abrasives has
led to the use of advanced grind materials which assure rapid stock removal. A
minimum and precise amount of stock is removed from the dryer surface and
finished to exact customer specifications. When required, superfinishing
techniques can provide extremely fine surface finishes as a final step.

Metso, constantly improved technology means increased efficiency, resulting in
substantial cost savings to the mill.
Full Face Coating
This provides the cost-effective alternative to replacement of a cylinder and
also contributes to improved efficiency and performance of the papermaking
machine. Metso's advanced full face coatings are guaranteed not to de-bond
within five years.

The Haslingden machine shop occupies an area of 930 square metres. Serviced by two 10 tonne overhead travelling cranes.
Turnkey solutions including match-marking, alignment checks, dismantling, packing & protection, containerisation, haulage, shipping & Installation at the destination site.
Carried out by specialist engineering teams consisting of Project Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, Electricians, Fabricators and Welders.
